Embrace The Summer With These Great Suggestions

However, while the temperature of your home can be so critical to your enjoyment of the summer, there is more you can do to make the most of most people’s favorite season. Why not start with some easy changes you can make to your home to cheer things up a little?

• First impressions are important, so if your welcome mat has seen better days, replace it with something more cheerful. Double up with a colorful mat on the inside as well, just to trap any unwanted dirt or pollen.
• Consider brightening up the look of the interior with a few interior design tricks. If you’ve got any old and drab throws, then throw them away – we couldn’t resist saying that – and replace them with something more vibrant. It doesn’t cost much to recover old cushions that have seen better days, and you can add some extra stuffing if they had lost their puffiness.
• How about decluttering? It is remarkable how much more light and airy a room feels if you have space to see what is in it. Think how often you actually use something, or whether it really is essential. If not, confine it to the garage, have a yard sale, or give it to the local charity shop.
• Make time for loved ones and family. It is so easy to say you’ll do it, but as so many of us know, unless you make a conscious effort to do something other things get in the way and before you know it, summer is over and you’ve done next to nothing together.
